How this calculator works
It multiplies your square footage by a typical cost-per-square-foot band for the finish level you choose (basic, mid-range or high-end), then adjusts for whether you build in a lower-cost region, an average area or a high-cost metro. The result is a construction-cost estimate, not a quote.

- Land purchase and site preparation
- Permits, impact fees and utility hook-ups
- Architect and design fees
